Job Description
Our client, a well established and respected pensions consultancy, currently require an additional administrator to take responsibility for a portfolio of DB and DC clients. You would need to develop a detailed working knowledge of these clients over the initial few months of your appointment. This company, possibly more than any other, allow administrators a good deal of direct client access. The main requirement is that you have at least 12 months experience administering Final Salary and/or Money Purchase schemes.
You would be involved in the following types of work
* Calculating and checking individual benefits for scheme exits and projected benefits as required.
* Advising the client of members approaching retirement, arranging payment of benefits for all types of scheme exit.
* Setting up and maintaining computer records for nominated clients.
* Dealing with annual renewals, including preparation of data for insurers and Actuary. Also dealing with day to day enquiries from clients and members.
You would also be expected to take the Diploma in Pension Calculation (DPC) exams if not already qualified.
Excellent training is provided and this is a company where administrators are trusted and given a lot of direct client access, so communication skills have to be good. A good opportunity.
