Finance Manager / General Ledger Accountant

We are able to offer a part qualified or qualified general ledger accountant the opportunity to work as a Finance Manager with our International Finance team.  As a Finance Manager working within our shared service centre in Maidenhead, you will be responsible for all financial aspects of designated i3 International companies across the globe.

i3 Research is a global full-service contract research organization (CRO) focused on four CORE areas: central nervous system; oncology; respiratory and infectious disease; and, endocrinology and metabolic disease. Therapeutic specialization drives all aspects of our business - from project staffing and talent management to quality initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Managing all aspects of a general ledger up to trial balance for i3 designated countries to meet month end US reporting deadlines. 
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliation of control accounts, bank accounts and all asset, debtor and creditor accounts 
• Working with business leaders to review and analyse P&L and input to cost control 
• Working with the local accountants and tax advisors to produce year end accounts and tax returns 
• Providing meaningful management information as required to assist in decision making
• Acting as the key finance contact for employees within designated countries

• Qualified or Part Qualified,  ACCA, ACA or CIMA level or previous experience as a Finance Manager
• Previous experience in an international accounting environment
• Experience with international accounting systems, reporting and reconciliation requirements with proficiency at an advanced level in a major accounting software package
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
• Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate well when working with colleagues/clients in other countries
