Japan Practice in People Services (JPS) is a rapidly growing business team, which specialises in assisting Japanese companies to adapt to complex challenges as they seek to attract, motivate and retain the best talent, while balancing the growing risk and costs of employment.

  

JPS is now seeking high-calibre tax professionals to fulfil the role of Manager and support the continued growth of our team in London. JPS can offer you the business challenge and career opportunity you are seeking, in an uplifting, team-based environment.

 

The Ideal candidate will have a commercial and analytical mind-set, together with experience in working with Japanese clients.

Japanese language skills would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage Japanese clients, projects and junior members effectively and professionally.
  • Advise clients on technical issues.
    Participate in business development activities and gain new work from existing clients.
  • Coach junior members of staff to help them achieve their goals.
  • Work with clients to develop tax efficient solutions which address their business needs

 

 

The Individual

 

  • ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.
    Proven experience at manager level in working with Japanese companies in a professional firm.
  • Japanese language skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong management skills and a good understanding of financial management.
  • Identifies and pursues business opportunities.
  • Takes personal responsibility for own work.
  • Sustains a high level of drive and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
  • Gives clear directions, and provide positive and constructive feedback.
  • Coaches, manages and motivates junior staff.
  • Works in a cooperative, respectful manner with clients and colleagues.
  • Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear.
