Job Description

Therapeutic specialization drives all aspects of business in this global CRO - from project staffing and talent management to quality initiatives, such as six sigma.

As a Financial Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that we accurately understand the financial position on our international clinical trial projects including reconciliations, accurate and timely invoicing of our sponsors and the provision of financial information and support to both financial and non financial professionals.

 

Job Role

  • Understanding the operational issues and how they are currently (and will in future) impact on financial performance.
  • Reviewing and assisting where necessary, the project manager's recognition of revenue and forecasts each month including tracking against time and forecast revenue.
  • Understanding the costing tool and implications in revenue recognition and out of scope activities.
  • Managing changes in the scope of the contract from identification to agreement with the sponsor (including which tasks are incorporated and how the value is calculated)
  • Understanding of individual project WIP reconciliations.
  • Training and continuing education of Project Managers and Directors regarding all aspects of finance.
  • Pro-actively analyzing performance of projects and provide insight to all levels of management.
  • Interfacing with clients, providing reports as required.
  • Assisting in the integration of newly acquired companies.

 

And be able to demonstrate:

  • Part Qualification within CIMA or ACCA .
  • Strong computer/word processing skills with advance Excel.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial data.
  • Good organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate on all levels through a variety of different media.
