Job Description
Job; Finance Coordinator
Location; Reading
The focus of this position, based within the Reading town centre, is to increase the uptake of a new payment system across the organisations service users.
Duties;
· You will be working very closely with Care Managers to ensure that Payments are actively explored, as an option for people to access flexible support.
· Providing ongoing support and advice to service users
· To calculate and agree packages
· To undertake research to produce and deliver financial information
· Other support duties will include giving advice to service users, showing them how to advertise for staff if required, arranging for all pre-employment checks are carried out.
· To liaise with nominated payroll services on issues of tax and National Insurance.
This is a temporary role to start ASAP until March 2009
Essential Skills Required;
· The candidate must hold a valid enhanced CRB check
· Experience working with a range of different needs
· Good organisation skills
· Effective communication skills including high standards of written and verbal communication and the ability to present information effectively to people at all levels of the organisation.
· Excellent attention to detail and sound knowledge of collecting data and interpretation of data to improve performance.
· Ability to demonstrate an understanding and ability to explain finance and Business concepts to service users and their representatives.
· Knowledge and willingness to use information technology.
· Willingness to visit clients when required
· The candidate must be available to commit to this role until 31st March 2009 and start asap
Advantageous Experience;
· A minimum of 2 years experience of work in the social care or NHS sector.
