Job Description
Finance Manager/Financial Controller job in Guildford!
A hands-on role working for a specialist import business. You will manage three staff within this role, and will be responsible for:
- Treasury management and cash reporting
- VAT compliance
- Maintenance and development of the nominal ledger and the fixed asset register
- Month end reconciliation and report production of sales ledger and purchase ledger
- Bi-weekly and monthly payroll production
- Weekly cashflow reporting and forecasting
- Monthly control account reconciliations for fixed assets, cash book, payroll, HSBC invoice finance account
- Nominal ledger and sub-ledger monthly close procedures and report production
- Compliance with all external financial obligations including PAYE, NI, VAT and corporation
- Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll
- Produce end of year P35 and P11D reports
- Compliance with monthly sales and purchase cut off procedures
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts

SKILLS
- Proven people manager and team builder
- Previous experience of developing/enhancing both computer and paper based systems.
- Systems literate Vintner experience an advantage
- Proven experience in VAT and payroll compliance
- Previous treasury experience
- Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA) or QBE
