Job Description
A large Media/Technology company based in Iver is looking for a General Ledger Manager.
The GL department is responsible for the integrity of the general ledger (adjustments and reconciliations), treasury activities (supported by corporate treasury) the month-end close process, year-end statutory reporting (incl audit and SOX), and other compliance including VAT and Corporation tax reporting.
The role will involve the following;
Leading, motivating and supporting the European Shared Services Centre
Goal setting, performance management, appraisal and mentoring
Participate in European finance management team meetings
Ensure month end is closed
Responsible for the quality of GL journals and supporting documentation
Full accountability for review of all European Balance Sheet Recs
Manage European SOX programme documentation, internal and external audit
Preparation of statutory accounts
Co-ordinate Corporate and statutory audits, manage audit relationship
Working with local specialists & Corporate tax department to file Corporation Tax returns
Preparation of periodic VAT returns for all countries within statutory deadlines
Working with Corporate treasury department
Managing to agreed SLA
The successful candidate will need to be qualified ACA, ACCA,CPA with 3 years plus in management role within multinational (ideally shared service centre experience).
