Financial Analyst (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), Slough, to £35K
Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Stoke Poges (2 minutes drive from Slough), Berkshire
Salary: £25 -35K Basic

ROLE:
Reporting into the Accounting Policy Director you will take full responsibility for ensuring proper revenue recognition for EMEA. As a sales organization, this is a critical focus and the Financial Analyst will provide financial transaction review, revenue recognition expertise and compliance. You will support each of the EMEA Finance Directors by providing analysis of financial data, delivering reports to suit the needs of the business and thus delivering support and real business benefit.
As this is a new role, there is considerable opportunity for the right individual to grow and develop the position and expand their skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Act as the Subject Matter Expert for revenue recognition and current requirements.
b) To analyse and understand sales related documentation and contracts in order to ensure proper reporting.
c) Review revenue submissions for compliance and accumulate the information for a regional submission to the wider corporate management team.
d) Ensure that the revenue submissions meet SOX requirements.
e) Continually develop and improve processes working with other business areas to achieve efficiency, best practice & compliance.
f) To provide training where necessary to the EMEA Finance community.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Experienced Financial Analyst (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
b) 2-3 years experience supporting a sizeable business.
c) Adept at analysing spreadsheet data and writing reports (MS Excel, Access and Word).
d) Analytically minded, forward thinking and accustomed to reading and understanding sales related contracts.
e) Detail oriented and quick to pick things up.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous.
You may have experience in the following roles: Finance Analyst, CIMA Analyst, CIMA Qualified, Financial Costing Analyst, Financial Strategist, Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Manager, Financial Planning Manager, Financial Reporting Analyst, Revenue Analyst, GAAP Analyst etc
