Job Description

A fantastic opportunity to work in the Exotic Rates Middle Office for this leading Investment Bank. This team provides support to Interest Rate Derivative, Governments, Repos and Frequent Borrower trading businesses. As part of the Structured Analysis team you will be providing P&L and Risk analytical support to specific dealers whose trading tends to be more complex with much of the activity originating from the Marketing business. In addition, you will be responsible for owning and driving the bulk of P&L and product related initiatives and projects.

You will have a good understanding of Derivatives products and their valuation methodologies to enable the analyst to reconcile source valuations to trader predicts. You will understand the key drivers of P&L and Risk in the trading books and be able to communicate these effectively to the Front Office, Valuation Control Groups, Finance and other Middle Office departments. You will be responsible for the daily sign off of positions and P&L for reporting purposes, providing commentary where required to the business, senior management, Finance, and Market Risk.

As the successful candidate you will have a good working knowledge of Swaps/FRA's, Securities, Repos and Futures and Options. You will also have proven risk management and/or product valuation experience. A working knowledge of curve construction would be advantageous.
