Job Description
A leading wealth manager based in Canary Wharf is looking for an Operational Assurance executive. You would be responsible for applying commercially-focused assurance tests against a live operational environment, producing MI relating to the results of these tests and making recommendations to the Operational Assurance Manager and function heads for improvements relating to underlying processes, management controls and assurance checks.
You will be designing, documenting and undertaking a predictive program of operational assurance checks that fit with documented local business requirements. These will be built upon regularly refreshed top-down risk profiling, local business risk appetite, complaints, losses and risk event inputs. It will be important to achieve the right levels of risk/reward. You will monitor changes made in response to findings and produce KPI's to demonstrate results and improvements and make these available for regular review and submission to Head of WM Operations reporting. The role will also need you to be efficient within process improvement.
You will need Wealth management experience and knowledge of existing bank systems and their associated controls and procedures. You will also need knowledge of operational risk, it's measurement and the process to mitigate it as well as the principles and requirements if brand in relation to the presentation and communication of material development.
