Job Description
Based in Guildford, our client seeks a part-qualified accountant to join them as Senior Management Accountant. This job involves:
- Developing and maintaining a high quality finance report, including a year end forecast with a narrative highlighting key variances and trends in activity and finance, commenting on influencing factors and advising on any necessary management action. Tailoring reports as required to the level of the budget holder.
- Maintaining key financial controls including reconciliations and ensuring accurate amendments to budgets as required.
- Meeting regularly with budget holders and Senior Managers to assess financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis and advice to them regarding key risks and critical success factors in achieving financial targets.
- Contributing to the annual budget setting/financial planning process
- Supporting the Business Finance Manager to provide the financial input into business cases and service developments by costing activity and expenditure
- Supervision of the management accountants day-to-day workload, and training new members of the team.
- Provision of information for internal and external purposes such as reports to the Board and executive team, national reference costs submissions and others as required.
