Job Description
Based in Berkshire, our client seeks a part qualified or qualified accountant to join them as a Cost and Planning Accountant. This job would suit a candidate who co-ordinate and lead the development financial business plans and cost models. You will be supporting strategic planning throughout the department, to implement change over the next 3-5 years.
This role is an interim position for around 3 - 4 months.
Duties & Responsibilities;
- Develop new reporting methods & costing systems
- Presenting information in an appropriate format for a broad range of management.
- Develop and maintain costing and pricing databases and feeder systems, including collecting and analysing activity data
- Developing models
- To develop the financial models for business cases This will include what if analysis, risk analysis and sensitivity analysis.
- Train team members in the new systems and reporting methods
Experience Required;
- At least two years within a complex organisational context.
- Experience of designing costing models to evaluate new or re-focused services to include understanding the key cost drivers, what-if and sensitivity analysis
- Experience of working with complex accounting systems
- Experience of work planning and achieving challenging timescales.
- Experience of providing training on systems etc
- Strong communication skills, face-to-face, by telephone, written reports and presentations.
