Job Description
Our client, a successful, specialist construction company, requires a CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified accountant, with experience in contract costing, preferably gained within the construction industry. Knowledge of computer accounting / costing systems is essential. Reporting to the Managing Director, the chosen candidate will have overall responsibility for the accuracy of the company’s financial and costing systems. The Management accountant will manage a small team of staff ensuring timely production of invoices, debtor payment control and invoicing system Access Dimensions. The Management Accountant will also have responsibility for: Producing and analysing business information,Proactively working with management to increase margins and reduce waste,Designing and internalising effective management reports to ensure efficient management of the business,Producing monthly management accounts including variance analysis,Producing the annual company budget,Cash flow forecasting and cash management,Assisting with costing and estimates for quotations and control of large contracts,Preparing for and working with the auditors to produce annual statutory accounts. The salary is up to £40,000 per year, there is a company contributory pension scheme, discounted health cover and parking on site.
