Job Description
Provide support to account executives, and professional and technical advice to clients. Administration of client accounts including renewal negotiations, processing and report production. Main tasks include:
RENEWAL PROCESS
•Request and analyse underwriting information
•Prepare and submit accurate market presentations and slips
•Collate and negotiate renewal terms with existing and prospective insurers
•Assist in preparation of client renewal reports
•Manage premium billing, collection, settlement
•Produce and/or request Insurer documentation as per legislative and regulatory requirements
•Issue Summaries of Insurance
NON-RENEWAL SERVICES
•Act as first point of contact within service team for day to day client insurance queries
•Administer mid term changes to risk
•Attend Client and Insurer meetings as requested
•Assist in the preparation of reports on specific projects
•Review and comment on Indemnity and Insurance clauses.
Experience:
- Experience of working in underwriting or broking
- Experience of day to day client / market contact
- Solid technical knowledge of all UK Commercial insurance
- Working within FSA specific procedures and guidelines
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines
- Good team worker as well as ability and self motivation to work on own
- Competent use of computers & packages - Word, Excel, Lotus Notes
- CIP / ACII qualified or progress towards preferred
