Job Description
A leading investment bank is looking for a senior technical accountant to head up their accounting policy function for Europe and the Middle East. This very high profile role reports directly to the global head of accounting policy.
The role will require you to: work with various businesses and finance colleagues to address accounting issues as structures/ transactions are developed; provide accounting expertise on US GAAP for complex capital markets transactions FIN 46(R), FAS 133, FAS 140, FAS 157, FAS 159, etc; review/analyse transactions with Special Purpose Entities to ensure appropriate accounting treatment; provide accounting expertise on IFRS and UK GAAP.
As part of the role you will work with global strategy groups, front office and corporate tax groups to structure M&A transactions, assist with due diligence, perform purchase price allocations, work with the business to prepare integration plans, etc.
