Benefits still being offered
Companies are continuing to offer employees competitive benefits despite the global credit crunch. This is the view of Julian Webb, executive director for defined contribution business development at Fidelity, the fund manager. He said that many companies were limiting pay increases to no more than the rate of inflation but that they were increasingly using an attractive benefits package as a way of retaining their most valued staff.
