An employee benefits consultancy needs a technical expert to join the team. The role is to help ensure that the company is updated & informed about all legal requirements relating to pensions and other employee benefits and to be a source of technical knowledge. This will involve keeping up to date with all legislation relating to and impacting on employee benefits with a particular focus on self administered defined benefit occupational pension schemes.  It also involves communicating legal changes and technical information internally.
The suitable candidate will be able to provide training, as required by the company on technical pension issues, assist and provide guidance with resolving complex, non-standard cases, support management in new proposition development and be able to review practice to help ensure that it is consistent with regulatory and legislative requirements.
The suitable candidate will have a high level of knowledge of pensions and employee benefits legislation along with the ability to interpret it into plain English and understand the impact it has on day to day work. He or she will have at least 5 years pensions experience demonstrating a detailed level of involvement with legislation and technical analysis. His or her competencies will include good personal organisation, analysing and reasoning, learning and development, and teamwork.
