Job Description
A leading top tier European investment bank is looking for a senior risk manager on all products and asset classes, but focussing on exotic fixed income and credit structuring products to join their structuring team. This is a front office role where you will be responsible for and liaise with traders to ensure the integrity of risk as well as understanding, making transparent and controlling the risk profile of the business. The risk manager will be required to understand the business and trading strategies, assess, quantify and manage risk. You will be responsible for both market and counterparty risk analysis with respect to tradable products.
The ideal candidate must be
Preferably from a quantitative background with in depth knowledge of financial products (valuation and risk management techniques)
A hands-on individual who is prepared, where necessary, to perform ad-hoc analysis of risk profile of products / structures.
Several years experienced, preferably from Trading.
ยท Educated to a MSc or equivalent level and have working knowledge of VBA
This position will suit candidates keen to work in a front office environment, and looking to utilise and develop their commercial acumen, with progression opportunities across the front office on offer to the successful risk manager.
